Dispatch

Dispatching of emergency and non-emergency incidents for the Vista Fire Department is handled by the North County Dispatch Joint Powers Authority. The North County Dispatch Joint Powers Authority is headquartered at Rancho Santa Fe Fire Department Station 1, 16936 El Fuego, in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Other agencies that are a member of this J.P.A. include San Marcos F.D., Oceanside F.D., Encinitas F.D., Elfin Forest F.P.D., Rancho Santa Fe F.D., Del Dios F.P.D., Rancho Santa Fe Security, Solana Beach F.D., Carlsbad F.D., North County F.PD., and medical services for County Service Area (CSA) #117.

Reporting Emergencies
All emergencies are reported through the 911 system. If you come across what you deem an emergency call 911 immediately. This can be from a cell phone, pay phone or your home phone. Don't assume that someone else has reported the emergency. Be sure that you have information regarding location and details about the incident (ie: medical or fire) that will assisted the dispatch center in sending the proper unit to the scene.

Reporting a Non-Emergency
The Vista Fire Department's business office is open Monday-Friday from 7am-5pm. Non-emergency calls during the normal business hours can be made to 760.643.2801. If you have a non-emergency to report after hours or on weekends, please call Rancho Dispatch at 858.756.3006.
